My Story

Percussionist and educator Brayton Gust is driven by a passionate desire to create. After finishing his time in drum corps with Phantom Regiment in 2021 and 2022, he was forced to find his new place in the world of music. This eventually led to music composition. Gust is currently an undergraduate student at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana pursuing a degree in engineering. Despite this, he has devoted a large amount of time to composing and teaching his own students. He is currently on staff with the Pendleton Heights High School band department and has helped lead their marching band to a 7th place finish at State Finals and helped lead the indoor percussion program to a silver medal at State Finals in 2023.

Latest Release:
El Fuego

Exploring the darker side of Latin percussion, "El Fuego" is a masterclass in speed and versatility. Translated as "the fire", this work stays true to its name through a multitude of flourishes, punctuations, and overall raw power of the instrument.
